Spotted an apostrophe gone rogue?

 

Welcome to the APS Rogues’ Gallery – our collection of apostrophes, sent in by you, that have turned up where they’re not wanted, disappeared when they’re needed, or simply found themselves in entirely the wrong place.

If you spot an example in the wild, we’d love to see it. Take a photograph and send it to photos@apostrophe.org.uk. We’re always looking for new exhibits for the Gallery.

Please make sure the wording (and the offending apostrophe – or conspicuous lack of one) can be clearly seen. We may crop or resize photographs before publishing them, and unfortunately we can’t provide individual photo credits.

By sending us a photograph, you’re giving the Apostrophe Protection Society permission to publish it on this website. We add new examples to the Gallery from time to time, although we can’t promise to publish every submission.

So keep your eyes open. Rogue apostrophes are everywhere.
